    A: We save our brides 1000ís of dollars because we don't mark up our gowns excessively. We want to make a profit but we refuse to exploit our Brides. We believe that every Bride deserves to have her dream gown regardless of budget and without compromising on quality.

    Q: So what can I expect for my money?

    A: Your dress will be brand new, hand made with a high level of craftsmanship.
    All of our gowns are made from the finest quality materials such as satin, micro silk, lace, chiffon, tulle, organza and taffeta. The hand detailing of our gowns is beautiful and includes embroidery, lace applique, hand beading and crystal detailing. 

Our gowns also have full boning and bra cups built into the bodice.

    Q: Can I come and have a look at your gowns and try them on?

    A: We do offer fittings as well as bridal styling at our Sydney Boutique.

    This service assists Brides in selecting the perfect gown based on personality, colouring and body shape. This service is not only for the Bride but also for bridesmaids. Once the style is complete we take your measurements and have your gown made.

    If you are unable to get to our Sydney Boutique we recommend that you try on different styles to see what suits. We can assist you further once you have a clear idea of what you want via email and telephone.

    We frequently exhibit at various Bridal Expos around the country. For upcoming dates and locations go to the event section on the website.

    Q: I like one of your dresses but can I modify the design?

    A: All the dresses on our website are Made to Order. This means that that the design in the picture is standard and we can customize the design to your preferences.

    We are happy to make minor design changes to most of our dresses so please specify your needs at time of order.

    The delivery time for made to order dresses is around 20-25 weeks.

    Q: When should I order my gown?

    A: All bridal gown orders are received in 20-25 weeks from time of payment received.

    A bridesmaid and formal gown are received in 4-12 weeks from time of payment received.

    Bridal shoes, veils and belts will be received in 2-3 weeks from time of payment received.

    Vest and ties will be received in 4 weeks from time of payment received.

    We do have ready made gowns in stock if you require your dress urgently, however, sizing is limited. Please contact us for more information.

    Q: Do you make plus size gowns?

    A: Absolutely. We cater to all shapes and sizes. We can make gowns to size AU28 (UK26/US24/EUR54).

    Please note: All gowns larger than a UK16 require an additional fee to cover the cost of extra materials.

    Q: How do I make sure I get the right fit if I canít try them on?

    A: Customers purchasing from our boutique can book an appointment to come in and have a design and fitting consult. The boutique is open by appointment only.

    During your consult you will be assisted in choosing the perfect gown style to suit your personality, colouring and body shape. Once the style is chosen, your size is determined, and then the creating of your gown begins!

    For our online customers, we have a comprehensive and easy to follow set of measuring instructions and size guide on our website.

    We recommend that you do not take your own measurements as they will be inaccurate, please have your measurements taken by us or by someone who knows what they are doing such as a dressmaker, an alteration specialist or a tailor.

    We also recommend having your wedding gown made in a lace up corset style as this helps attain a great fit.

    Q: Should I be concerned about buying my wedding dress over the internet?

    A: You should be concerned about buying a bridal gown over the internet from an overseas business. However, Brides Closet is 100% Australian owned and has a boutique in Sydney, Australia. We are registered with the Australian Business Registry and therefore have to comply with Australian Trade Practices.

    Q: How do I pay for my purchase?

    A: We accept payments through direct bank deposit, cheque, money order, credit card in-store or over the phone, cash, eftpos or Paypal.

    When placing an order you will be provided with the relevant payment information.

    Q: Can I have my wedding gown or bridesmaid dresses made in any colour?
    ............................................................................................................................

    A: Absolutely. You can choose to have your gown custom made in any colour to suit your theme. We can even do embroidery in your custom colour if youíre brave enough!

    Any dress or gown can be made in almost any colour or size so please contact us if you would like to view our photo fabric charts. Custom colour bridal gowns are an additional cost so please contact us for further information.

    The charts can also be viewed through our online store under the heading "fabric colour charts."

    Q: Am I able to get a fabric sample?

    A: Fabric colour charts, lace, lace appliquťs and bead samples are available to view at our boutique. Additionally, we do send fabric samples to customers with confirmed orders (unfortunately, this is not available for lace but pictures can be provided).

    For general enquires we do not send out fabric samples. Given we receive well in excess of 100 enquiries a week, it is not cost effective to send samples to every enquiry. As an affordable bridal manufacturer we try to keep our costs down and pass these savings on to you. We do have photographs of our fabrics. We are more than happy to email you these or you can send us a sample and we will colour match it as best we can.

    Q: Will my gown look the same as the picture?

    A: Although the shape and lines of the dress will remain true to the picture, the hand detailing and features may vary slightly depending on the intricacy of these.

    Q: What if my gown doesnít fit correctly once I receive it or Iím not happy with it?
    ............................................................................................................................

    A: We require that if you have any issues with your order that you need to contact us within 7 days of receiving it. If you do not contact us we will assume you are happy with your order.

    If it doesnít fit due to a fault on our behalf i.e. not making it to the specified measurements, we will happily make the necessary alterations for you. We do not offer refunds if you decide you donít like the style once youíve tried it on. We highly recommend that you go and try on different styles before purchasing to ensure it suits your body type.

    Bridal shoes cannot be exchanged or refunded if they have been dyed.
    Returned shoes must be received in original box without being worn.

    Q: Do you have lay-by?

    A: Yes we do!

    We require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of your total purchase amount.
    We require 50% of the purchase price to be completed 25 weeks before your wedding date.

    Q: What about shipping?
    ............................................................................................................................

    A: All our online orders are shipped with Australia Post. Packages within Australia are sent via Registered Post. This means that Australia post will require your signature and ID to deliver your package. If no-one is home, you will receive a calling card and have to collect your package from your nearest Australia Post office.

    Shipping to international destinations will incur extra charges and may involve customs duties and taxes. These costs are the customerís responsibility. If you are an international customer please contact us at sales@bridescloset.com.au for a shipping quote.

    Boutique customers can also have their gown shipped or they are most welcome to pick their gown up from our store. This can be decided upon ordering.

    Q: What happens if my package arrives damaged?

    A: Upon shipment all packages are packed securely. If your package is damaged during transit please contact within 24 hours with photographs of the damage so that we can resolve the situation as soon as possible.

Haley bought her own wedding dress from a formal store when she become disheartened with the inflated prices of the wedding boutiques.
